GHEORGHE I. ANGHEL was born on April 7, 1938 in Cluj, Romania. From an early age he takes drawing and painting lessons with Lola Shmierer Roth (who studied with Lovis Korinth in Munich and Andre Derain in Paris). Graduated in 1964 „Nicolae Grigorescu” Institute of Fine Arts in Bucharest,

Gh. I. Anghel is today PhD professor at the National Art University in the same city, at the Painting Department, as well as member of Fine Arts Union of Bucharest and member of Taylor foundation (France).
